![]() ![]() The stainless steel control panel is clearly labelled so it is very easy to use. Once you begin cooking the simmer plate temperature will drop. Note: If you leave the lid down for a long time the simmer plate temperature can rise above the set temperature because of the heat transfer from the hot plate. Unlike other range cookers like the Aga the hotplates on an Everhot are completely independent from the ovens and if you lift the hotplate there will be no loss of heat from the ovens and vice versa. ![]() Other models feature a controllable hot plate and an adjacent simmer plate which is not controllable but gains graduated heat from the adjacent hotplate. Some models have plates with the same maximum temperature – see your manual for details. On the majority of models the temperature of the hotplate is set higher, at around 295º, which means saucepans can be brought to a boil quickly and then moved to the simmer plate. ![]() The hot plate is the larger plate to the left hand side and the simmer plate is positioned to the right. ![]() The Everhot cooking parts are all independently controllable and ovens and hotplates independently powered, so you don’t lose heat from the ovens when cooking on the top and vice versa. ![]()
